Shaping Your Career with Engineering

For the past many years, modern youth have been craving to become either doctor or an engineer. Surprisingly, there is no paucity in the demand of said professionals even today. It still continues to be one of the most respectable professions. The fields of engineering have been diversified with more and more advancement in different streams from buildings to computers.  Eventually, specializing in a particular stream opens the gateway for aspirants to be eligible candidates to work in a certain industry.  Only experts in individual stream of engineering are able to excel and survive in the real business. Engineering graduates are eligible to work in private sector, public sector or in the government jobs.  Majorly there are four streams of engineering, Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Chemical which include other branches of engineering studies like aerospace, petroleum and telecommunication etc.

Buildings and towers are touching the sky which has become possible through the efforts of civil engineers. Civil engineering encompasses the design and construction of buildings as well as building of highways, roads, dams and sewage system. Chemical engineer studies the properties and characteristics of different chemicals and elements, providing vital information on how to use them effectively in the production of other useful products. Chemical engineers have helped in the making of polymers, paper, dyes, drugs, plastics, fertilizers, foods, petrochemicals etc.

Mechanical engineering is a diverse subject which includes designing and manufacturing everything from small individual parts and devices like inkjet printer nozzles to large systems like spacecraft and machine tools. Electrical engineering is one of the broader areas of engineering.  Wireless communication and the Internet are just a few areas electrical engineering has helped flourish by developing better phones, more hi-tech computers and high-speed modems. DVD players, radio, television, airplanes, space vehicles, cars, motorcycles, home appliances, life-saving medical equipment, computer games fought with joysticks became possible with the input of electrical engineers. Each stream of engineering has equal opportunities.  As we enter the 21st century, the technology that surrounds us continues to expand and electrical engineers are leading the way whether it is in terms of package or employment opportunities.
